Constitution of the Society for Detecting Horse Thieves in the Towns of Mendon, Bellingham and Milford with the Names of the Officers and Members, Nov. 17, 1879. Organized December 21, 1795. Any inhabitant of either of the towns of Mendon, Bellingham and Milford, may become a member of this society, by paying the sum of one dollar. No member whose horse shall be stolen at a greater distance than thirty miles from his place of residence, shall be entitled to the aid of the society in the pursuit of such horse or the thief.
